Mary Bia Secki, of Branford, beloved wife of Edward J. Secki, Sr., died July 11 in Yale-New Haven Hospital after a long illness. Mrs. Secki was born in New Haven on May 1, 1941, to the late Dominic and Carmel Avitable Bia.

She worked as a nanny for many years, until retiring due to illness. She was a lifelong resident of Branford, communicant of St. Mary Church, and supporter of the Branford Land Trust.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son, Edward J. Secki, Jr.,her grandson, Dylan Royka, her sister, Joanna Giannotti, and brother, Dominic Bia, all of Branford, as well as nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter, Elizabeth Royka.

Friends may call Monday, July 15 from 5 – 8 p.m. at the W. S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 North Main Street, Branford, and are invited to a funeral service Tuesday, July 16 at 11 a.m., also at W.S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home.
