Elia (Ferrucci) Setaro, of Branford, beloved wife of Peter D. Setaro, died July 22 in Yale-New Haven Hospital. Mrs. Setaro was born Feb. 29, 1936 in Faicchio, Provence of Benevento, Italy, to the late Antonio and Rosolina (Romano) Ferrucci. She was a communicant of St. Mary Church in Branford.

A devoted wife, mother and grandmother, she is survived by her children Rosemary (Setaro) Valentino of Branford, Sandra Murphy and her husband Gary of Hamden, and Lorraine Setaro of Branford; her grandchildren Ryan and Caitlin Murphy, who were the lights of her life; her siblings Maria Petrazzuoli and her husband Mario of East Haven, Angela Pellegrino of Cheshire, Joseph Ferrucci and his wife Maryann, Egidio Ferrucci, and Anna Costanzo, all of East Haven; her sisters-in-law Dorothy Setaro of Branford and Rita Setaro of North Branford; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Josephine Carbone.

Her funeral procession will leave the W. S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 North Main Street, Branford, Friday July 26 at 11 a.m. for a Mass of Christian burial in St. Mary Church at 11:30 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Agnes Cemetery.
