Hildegarde Hinterberger, 101, of North Haven, wife of the late John B. Hinterberger, died Sept. 14. She was born Sept. 22, 1911 in Germany to Kurt and Lina Hoelzel.

She was loved by many and loving to all.

She is survived by her son John C. Hinterberger; her daughter Hildegarde Homazad and her husband Ghobad; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; seven nieces and nephews; and many devoted and caring friends and relatives. She was predeceased by her siblings Gerhardt Hoelzel and Elfriede Rossini.

A memorial service will be celebrated Saturday, Sept. 28 at 10:30 a.m. at Emanuel Lutheran Church, 280 Humphrey Street, New Haven. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in her name may be made to Emanuel Lutheran Church. Burial will be private. Beecher and Bennett, Hamden, is in charge of arrangements.
