Edward B. Fowler, 91, of Hamden, husband of Helen C. Cricca Fowler, died Oct. 13 at Whitney Manor, Hamden. He was born July 26, 1922 in New Haven to the late Charles and Lillian Blye Fowler. Edward served his country faithfully in the United States Army during World War II and worked as a crane operator for Crane Operators Engineers Local # 478.

He was a member of the American Legion Post 88, and was an avid gardener who enjoyed spending time outdoors.

He is survived by his three children, Diane and her husband Andrew Migliaro of North Haven, Edward and his wife Judith Fowler of North Haven, and Robert and his wife Patricia Fowler; and his grandchildren Edward Fowler III and Jaime Hawkins. He was predeceased by seven brothers and sisters. 

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Oct. 16 at 10 a.m. in the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue, followed by interment in All Saints Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Wednesday from 8:30 a.m. until time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association, 45 Ash Street, East Hartford, CT 06108.
