Jon W. Hall, 48, of East Haddam, beloved husband of Karen (Gronholm) Hall, died suddenly Oct. 16 at his home. He was born in Middletown to the late Oliver E. and Edna Hall.

Jon was raised in Westbrook, and a 1983 graduate of Westbrook High School. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to camp with his boys. He also enjoyed kayaking, golf, tennis, and Bass fishing, and was passionate about music. He was a loving and proud father, and the most caring and perfect man to everybody he met.

In addition to his wife, Jon is survived by his three sons, Joshua of Ivoryton, Jacob of Colchester, and Zachary of East Haddam; his brothers Edward Hall of Clinton and Thomas and his wife Heidi Hall of Austin, Texas; his sisters Colleen and her husband George Antone of Ivoryton and Mariann Hall of Middletown; his granddaughter Georgiana; and his dog Cosmo.

Visiting hours will be held Monday, Oct. 21 from 5-7 p.m. at Robinson, Wright & Weymer Funeral Home, 34 Main St., Centerbrook. Jon will be laid to rest beside his parents Tuesday, Oct. 22 in North Vienna Cemetery, Vienna, Maine. The Robinson, Wright & Weymer Funeral Home, Centerbrook, is in charge of arrangements.
