Helen S. Kyrcz, 90, of Guilford, wife of the late Walter Anthony Kyrcz, died peacefully Oct. 18. Helen was born Jan. 31, 1923 in New Haven to the late Francis and Josephine Poplawski Szymanski. Mrs. Kyrcz worked for Winchester Firearms, and later for Yale College at Yale University, until her retirement.  

She is survived by her son Robert W. Kyrcz, MD, and his wife Sarah of Madison; and her grandchildren Ana and Sophia Kyrcz, who were her greatest joy. She was predeceased by a brother, Frank Szymanski; and three sisters, Stephanie Bialecki, Stella Ursone and Anna Prusaczyk.

Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of choice. The Guilford Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
