    Robert L. Badiali, 66, New Haven

    Robert L. Badiali, 66, of New Haven, died Oct. 30 at his home. He was born June 2, 1947 in New Haven to the late Enrico and Carmela (Lombardi) Badiali. Robert was a United States Army veteran of Vietnam and retired crane operator with more than 25 years of service to the former New Haven Terminal. Robert served as past president of the International Longshoremen’s Association Local #1398.

    Robert is survived by his loving wife Patricia (Muratti) Badiali; his children Eric Badiali of East Haven and Robert Badiali, Jr., of Canada; grandson Bryce Badiali; and sister Katherine Merola of North Branford. He is also survived by his step-children Robert Brulotte of New Britain and Barbara Flynn and her husband James of East Haven; and step-grandchildren Amber Brulotte, Sal Damico and Jamie Brulotte. He was predeceased by his sister Loraine Russo; brother Jack Badiali; and brother-in-law Frederick Merola.

    Family will receive friends Saturday, Nov. 2 from 9 - 11 a.m. at the Clancy Funeral Home, 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven. The funeral procession will leave at 11:15 a.m. for an 11:30 a.m. Mass of Christian burial in St. Vincent de Paul Church, East Haven. Burial with military honors will follow in All Saints Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Wounded Warrior Project, 4899 Belfort Rd., Suite 300, Jacksonville, FL, 32256 in memory of Robert Badiali.
