    David M. Kinney, 67, Branford

    David M. Kinney, 67, of Branford, beloved husband of Allyson Robey Kinney, died Nov. 9 at Yale-New Haven Hospital after a long illness. He was born Sept. 19, 1946 in New Haven, a son of the late John J. Kinney, Jr., and Marion Wilson Kinney. He served in the United States Marine Corps in Vietnam, and worked as a stock broker for many years before retiring from Tucker Anthony in New Haven.

    A former member of the Pine Orchard Yacht and Country Club, he was an avid golfer and boater, a man who loved being on the water. Dave was a wonderful and much loved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend to many.

    In addition to his wife, Dave is survived by his daughters Melyssa and her husband Richard Madrak of Lebanon and Kasey Kinney of Crownsville, Maryland; grandchildren Katheryn and James Madrak; brother John J. Kinney III of Bristol; and sisters Mary Jane Trencansky of Manlius, New York, Katherine Aeschliman of Exeter, New Hampshire, and Patricia Lee of Branford. He was predeceased by a brother, Thomas Kinney.

    Friends are invited to a memorial service Wednesday, Nov. 13 at 11 a.m. at the W. S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 North Main Street, Branford, and may call prior to the service from 10 – 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675. The W.S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, Branford, is in charge of arrangements.
