    Mary Frances Bianca, 87, Chester

    Mary Frances Bianca, 87, of Chester, beloved wife of the late Francis P. Bianca, died Nov. 21 at Hartford Hospital. Mary was born Dec. 7, 1925 in Bronx, New York to the late Anthony Giordano, MD, and Frances (Larke) Giordano. Mary graduated from Yonkers High School and attended Drake Business School. She married the love of her life, Francis P. Bianca, on June 12, 1948 at Saint Peter Church in Yonkers.

    Mary lived in Chester for the past 40 years and enjoyed her career as a home health care aid with both the Visiting Nurses of the Lower Valley, and Companions and Homemakers.

    She enjoyed many hobbies including swimming, reading, cooking and sewing. Mary was a fabulous seamstress and her sauce was unforgettable. She was a communicant of Saint Joseph Church in Chester, and had a great love of children. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, and will be greatly missed.

    She is survived by her children Frank Bianca and his wife Susan of Shrub Oak, New York, Carol Vetrano and her husband Dennis of Lagrangeville, New York, Robert Bianca of Deep River, and Michael Bianca of East Haddam; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Mary was predeceased by her husband on July 3, 1974; two sisters; and two brothers.

    Visitation will be held Monday, Nov. 25 from 2-8 p.m. at the Robinson, Wright & Weymer Funeral Home, 34 Main Street, Centerbrook. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Tuesday, Nov. 26 at 10:30 a.m. at Saint Joseph Church, 48 Middlesex Ave, Chester. Interment will be private in Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Hawthorne, New York. Memorial contributions in Mary’s name may be made to Smilow Cancer Center, c/o Closer to Free Fund, P.O.
