    Josephine M. Iannotti Parillo, 94, Branford

    Josephine M. Iannotti Parillo, 94, of Branford, wife of the late John J. Parillo, died Dec. 25 at Yale-New Haven Hospital. She was born May 31, 1919 in New Haven to the late Frank and Maria Simonelli Iannotti. She worked as a secretary for Safety Electrical until her retirement.

    Josephine was devoted to her family and Catholic faith. She was an expert knitter of afghans and sweaters, a member of the Jolly Timers Seniors Club, and a fan of the New York Yankees and UConn women’s basketball team.

    She is survived by her daughter Marion Stanton; sons John Parillo and his wife Diane and David Parillo and his wife Cecelia; grandchildren Debra Falvey and her husband Brian, Cheryl Barone and her husband Michael, Darren Parillo and his wife Karen, Brian Parillo, and Lindsay Santiago and her husband Edgar; great- grandchildren Michael Perez and his wife Michelle, Meredith Falvey, Caroline Falvey, and Kayla Parillo; and siblings Frances Pesticci, Rose DeMarco, and Ann Bogart. She was predeceased by her siblings Raye Bradley, Helen Brown, and Charles Iannotti.

    A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated Dec. 30 at St. Barnabas Church, followed by interment in All Saints Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
