Joseph G. DiStasio, 97, of Madison, beloved husband of the late Mary Malis DiStasio, died Jan. 4 at Connecticut Hospice. Joe was born July 3, 1916 in New Haven to the late Peter and Philomena DiStasio. He was a truck driver for United Nuclear before retiring.

He is survived by his son Peter DiStasio and his wife Angela of Madison; and daughters Phyllis Olsen of West Haven and Marie and her husband Armand Roversi of New Haven. 

His funeral procession will leave the Porto Funeral Home, 234 Foxon Rd. (RT. 80), East Haven, Thursday, Jan. 9 at 9 a.m. for a Mass of Christian burial to be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Pompeii Church. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday, Jan. 8 from 5-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Connecticut Hospice, 100 Double Beach Rd., Branford, CT 06405.
