Sharon Elizabeth McCaul, 48, of East Haven, passed away Jan. 12, 2014 at Connecticut Hospice. She was born Aug. 22, 1965 to William and Janet (Rostkowski) McCaul. She is survived by her parents and brother Brian McCaul.

Sharon graduated from East Haven High School, Boston College and the University of Rhode Island; she was a speech language pathologist. She worked for the Fairfield Board of Education in the Early Childhood Center. Sharon was published in her field on working with autism. She was a world traveler and particularly loved New York City.

Sharon was honored to be sponsored by Dr. Maynard of New York City and the Knights of Malta to a healing week in Lourdes, France in 2010. She was especially grateful to her very caring physician, Dr. Robert Aaronson. Sharon touched the lives of many with her undaunting spirit, joy for life, and her striving to live life to the fullest.
