Bernadette L. Gould, 92, of Branford, died Jan. 23 at Branford Hills Health Care Center. She was the widow of John Gould, Ret. Lieutenant U.S. Air Corps. She is survived by many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother Raymond LaCroix; and her sisters Lorraine Fay, Lee Raffile, and Jeanette Beausejour-Langlois.

Bernadette was born Feb. 1, 1921 in New Haven, a daughter of Joseph and Anna Selfrid LaCroix. She resided in New Haven, East Haven, Killingworth, and Branford. She worked for Krowell Oil for many years.

She was a communicant of St. Lawrence Church in Killingworth for more than 20 years, and was a volunteer at Middlesex Hospital for more than 25 years. She enjoyed spending time with her nieces and nephews.

Her niece Maureen St. John would like to thank the nurses and staff at Ledgewood 2 in Branford and also Connecticut Hospice, for all the care Bernadette received.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, Feb. 1 at 10 a.m. at the W.S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 North Main St., Branford. Burial of her urn will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery in East Haven.
