John “Jack the Barber” F. Klein, 68, of North Haven, husband of 48 years to Mary Ann Kennedy Klein, died Jan. 29 at Masonicare Health Center in Wallingford. Jack was born Dec. 9, 1945 in New Haven to the late Frederick T. and E. Marian Fox Klein. He was a self-employed barber in the Montowese section of North Haven for many years.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughters Carolyn and her husband Ron Grube II, Jennifer Klein and her fiancé Peter Melchionno, and Rebecca Klein and her fiancé David Mayer. He was predeceased by his daughter Jacquelyn Klein.

His funeral procession will leave the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue, Saturday, Feb. 1 at 9:30 a.m. for a Mass of Christian burial to be celebrated at 10 a.m. at St. Barnabas Church followed by interment in All Saints Cemetery.
