Margaret “Peggy” Lecza, 79, of Guilford, formerly of Branford, wife of Ronald Lecza, died Feb. 4 at her home. Peggy was born April 22, 1934 in New Haven to Albert and Anna McKiernan Guida. She taught in the Guilford school system for 10 years, and also worked for SNET for 15 years.

She is survived by her children Diana Govus of Stillwater, Pennsylvania, Susan Lecza of Branford, and Sandy Lecza and wife Kim of Branford.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held Saturday, Feb. 8 at 11 a.m. at St. Therese Church in Branford. Burial will be private. Friends may call prior to the Mass from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the W.S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 North Main St., Branford. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Francis School, 423 Ferry St. New Haven, CT 06513.
