Walter C. Johnson, of Bethany, died Feb. 19 at Yale-New Haven Hospital. He was the husband of the late Sandra Whitehead Johnson. Mr. Johnson was born Oct. 12, 1931 in Waterbury to the late Walter S. and Ruth Anderson Johnson. He was a Korean War veteran of the U.S. Navy. 

He worked as a designer for various companies before retiring from Differential Pressure, Inc. of Branford.

He was a 50-year member of the A.U.S.S., American Union of Swedish Singers, Apollo Singing Society.

Mr. Johnson is survived by his children Lynnea (Brad) Walker of Rochester, Massachusetts, Cynthia Lee Johnson of Orleans, Massachusetts, and Clark (Michelle) Johnson of Branford; his grandchildren Amanda Walker, Carrie Jenkins-Walker, Bethany Walker, Elizabeth Ulbin, Emily Johnson, and Zachary Johnson; his great-grandson Connor Grieco; his brothers Robert Johnson of Arizona, and Martin Johnson of California; and his best pal Eric.

Relatives and friends are invited to a memorial service Saturday, Feb. 22 at 1 p.m. at the W.S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 North Main Street, Branford, and may call prior to the service from 12 -1 p.m. Burial will be at the convenience of his family.
