    Stephen G. Juhasz, Jr., 81, Guilford

    Stephen George Juhasz, Jr., 81, of Guilford, died March 25 at Connecticut Hospice after a long battle with cancer. Born in New Haven, April 21, 1932, son of the late Stephen and Julia Barbash Juhasz, Mr. Juhasz graduated from Wilbur Cross High School in 1950 and served his country in the U.S. Navy. He was a volunteer fireman with North Branford Fire Company #1 for several years and was employed at the former Detroit Steel Co. of Hamden until his retirement. During his retirement years, he was a member of the Guilford Senior Center and enjoyed gardening, boating, and automobiles. Mr. Juhasz is survived by two sons, Stephen G. Juhasz, III, of East Haven, and Dennis R. Juhasz of Northford, Connecticut; two daughters, Luanne C. (Christopher) Munson and Cathleen D. Drago, both of Branford; and five grandchildren, Dennis R. Juhasz, Jr. of Natick, Massachusetts; Kevin C. Juhasz, of Northford; Christopher N. Munson of Branford; Julianne H. Munson, of Branford, and Derek S. Drago of Madison. Mr. Juhasz is also survived by his sister, June Miller of Greenville, Virginia, and his former spouse, Nettie Lees Gowac, of Madison. Calling hours will be at the Keenan Funeral Home, 330 Notch Hill Rd., North Branford, March 28 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home March 29 at 10:00 a.m. Interment, beside his parents, will follow at Beaverdale Memorial Park in New Haven. Military Honors will be accorded. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Connecticut Hospice, 100 Double Beach Rd., Branford, CT 06405, or to the cancer research of the donor's choice.
