    Anthony T. Iannotti, Jr., 82, Branford

    Anthony T. Iannotti (Tony), age 82, of Branford, passed away peacefully on March 30 at Branford Hills Health Care Center. He was born in New Haven's Wooster Square area and was the son of the late Anthony and Grace Darling Iannotti.

    After graduating from St. Mary's High School in New Haven, he served our country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean conflict as a medical corpsmen. After his discharge, he went on to earn an A.S. at Quinnipiac College, B.S. at Springfield College, and an M.S. in microbiology from the University of Connecticut. He was also a biology instructor at Albertus Magnus College.

    He worked for Burroughs-Wellcome Biotechnology, Yale University School of Medicine Department of Pharmacology, the Olin Corporation, and retired from Turbine Components of Branford. During his retirement years, he served as a volunteer at St. Mary Grammar School and served as a eucharistic minister at St. Mary Church of Branford. He was a member of the High Lane Club in North Haven, where he bowled and played tennis.

    Anthony is survived by his wife Nancy of fifty-six years; sons Drewe Iannotti of Ormond Beach, Florida, and Chuck Iannotti of Branford; grandson James Anthony Iannotti of Branford; brother Attorney Lawrence W. Iannotti and his wife Lucie of Branford; and sisters Attorney Marie Iannotti of Portland, Oregon, and Grace Walker of San Francisco, California.www.wsclancy.com.

    Friends may attend a Mass of Christian burial and celebration of Anthony's life at St. Mary Church in Branford on April 5 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary Church, 731 Main St., Branford, CT 06405, in the name of Anthony Iannotti.
