    Daniel Edward Wolff, 94, Essex

Daniel Edward Wolff, of Essex, the beloved husband of Jacqueline (Greenberg) Wolff, father of Mady (Michael) Stoll, and Stephen Wolff, grandfather of Caryn, Eric (Andrea), Andrew, Lauren, and Michelle, great-grandfather of Indy and Bodie, and twin brother of Arthur Wolff, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday morning, April 20 surrounded by his loving family and friends.

Dan touched so many lives in his 94 years, especially throughout his clothing manufacturing business career and with his love and joy of boating. Dan embraced skiing which is where he met Jackie of Essex in Lake Placid 61 years ago. Dan was an avid tennis player and played until age 90. He lived his dream when he took his beloved WolfPack, his boat, to Florida in 1983 and returned safely back to Essex in 1985.

He loved his winters in Florida with his many wonderful friends playing bridge and tennis. He truly enjoyed his twenty years spent in Florida and returned permanently in 2012 to Essex, the community he embraced so lovingly.

Dan was musically inclined at an early age and played trumpet, piano, and guitar. He and his brother Arthur at age 15 entertained many in the Catskills with their band. Dan was an original member of the Corinthian Yacht Club of Essex and an original member of the club’s Jazz Band.

A celebration of Dan’s life and farewell to his beloved Essex friends will be held on April 24 between 5:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. at the Essex Corinthian Yacht Club, Novelty Lane, in Essex. Burial services will be privately held in the Sharon Gardens Cemetery in Valhalla, New York. Memorial contributions may be made in Dan’s name to the Essex Ambulance Association, P.O.
