Anthony J. Lengvinis, Sr., 89, North Haven
Anthony J. Lengvinis, Sr., 89, of North Haven, passed away peacefully on June 26 at Yale-New Haven Hospital. He was the husband of the late Marguarite Lantieri Lengvinis. Anthony was born in Kulpmont, Pennsylvania, on March 24, 1925, son of the late Joseph and Rosalia Mockpetris Lengvinis
He served his country faithfully in the U.S. Army during WWII.
He was the father of Anthony J. Lengvinis, Jr., and his wife Elizabeth. He was the grandfather of Matthew Lengvinis. He was the brother of Genevieve Pesarchick, and the late Mary Zinke, Ona Boyd, and Theresa Breck.
His funeral procession left the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Ave., June 30, at 8:30 a.m. Family and friends may call from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian burial will follow in St. Frances Cabrini Church at 9:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Waterbury.
