Herbert C. Roehl, Jr., passed away on August 5 at the Branford Hospice facility. Herbert was born on September 17, 1936, in New Haven, to the late Herbert and Mary Francis Roehl. He is predeceased by his wife Jean, son Jeff, and three sisters, Delia Zampano, Eileen Crease, and Elizabeth Frederick.

Herbert was the former owner of Fountain Garage in New Haven and was also an employee for many years at State Line Potato Chips, and finished his career as a parts delivery driver for Auto Electric in New Haven. He was a lifelong member of St. Clare Church in East Haven.

Herbert is survived by his two children, John and Jerry (Carol) Daley; and his brothers and sisters Charles Roehl (Geraldine) of Southington, Mary Stimpson (Robert) of Summerville, South Carolina, Christine Johnson (Donald) of North Haven, Dorothy Kopasz (George) of Stratford, and William Roehl (Catherine) of North Haven. He is survived by eight grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
