    Robert B. Linton

    Guilford

    Robert B. Linton, 65, of Guilford, died Sept. 25 at Connecticut Hospice. He was the beloved husband of Roseann Linton. He was born in the UK on Oct. 20, 1948, son of the late Robert and Julia Campbell Linton.

    He was the loving father of Corey (Faith) of Weston, Adrian (Lisa) of Seattle, Washington, and Amanda Sweeney of Guilford. He was the loving PopPop to Michael, Nicole, Mia Rose, Noah, Isabella, and Eliza. He is also survived by his brother David Linton of Germany, his sister Wendy Linton of England, his niece Katrina, and nephews Robert and Richard.

    He arrived in New York from England in 1973 to help expand his company into the United States, where he met Roseann, his wife of forty years. He spent the next 38 years as a successful Wall Street trader making hundreds of millions of dollars for various financial institutions. Robert became a U.S.citizen in the late 1970s. He was a communicant of St. George Church. He was also a former member of the Madison Country Club and Great River Golf Club. Bob was a founding member of the “Wall Street Wanderers.”

    A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Sept. 30 at 10 a.m. in St. George Church, 33 Whitfield St., Guilford. Burial followed Mass in All Saints Cemetery, North Haven. Friends called on Sept. 28 and Sept. 29 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Guilford Funeral Home, 115 Church St., Guilford.
