Wilfred H. St. John, Jr., 90, of North Branford, passed away Oct. 11. He was the beloved husband of the late Joyce Merrill St. John. Born in New Haven March 24, 1924, he was the son of the late Wilfred H. St. John and Bertha Hansen St. John.

He attended New Haven schools until he joined the U.S. Naval 94th Seabee Battalion, serving his country during World War II for three years in the Pacific in Hawaii and Guam. Upon his return home, he worked with his father and brother Ronald St. John at Standard Pattern Company for 65 years. He was predeceased by his brother and worked until the age of 72. He was a man who could fix or build anything, loved the sea, and happily boated with his family on Long Island Sound.

He was a proud father of three wonderful sons, Robert W. St. John and his wife Eileen of North Haven, David W. St. John of Racine, Wisconsin, and Craig W. St. John of North Branford. He also leaves a grandson Matthew St. John and three step-grandchildren, Kevin, Kerry (Joann), and Michele Krell. The family would like to thank Connecticut Hospice for all their care and support.
