Waterford — Conner Rowe's RBI single in the bottom of the seventh inning lifted Waterford to a 4-3 win over Danielson in a Zone 6 American Legion baseball game on Thursday.

Sean Raymond earned the victory, pitching an eight-hitter with two strikeouts and one walk as Waterford improved to 14-2.

• The Padres beat Three Rivers 11-1. Jeremy Sagun had two hits and Jack Turner, Ken Olszewski, Stan Kesilewski and Vin Gualtieri all had doubles for the Padres. Chris Gallagher was the winning pitcher.

• Brendan Cumming (Princeton) went 4-for-4, including three doubles, with two runs and two RBI as the Mystic Schooners beat the Newport Gulls late Wednesday night, 11-7, in a six-inning game. Jimmy Sullivan (Virginia) had two hits, including a two-home run, and scored twice for Mystic (13-12) and Waterford's Jared Burrows (Hartford) earned the save. Matthew Wood (Penn State) went 3-for-4, including two doubles, with two runs and an RBI for the Gulls (16-10).

• Winning pitcher Derrel Mitchel had a double, a home run and four RBI as New London/Montville edged Milford, 8-7, on Wednesday night. Chris Tanucci singled for New London.
