Norwich ― Students from Norwich Technical High School celebrate their graduation on the school’s lawn Thursday.
The 159 graduates got to celebrate hours earlier than planned, because the school moved up graduation from 4 p.m. to 8 a.m. to avoid the anticipated high temperatures.
Community organizations, local businesses and private sponsors awarded a total of $26,296 in scholarships to Norwich Tech graduates this year. An additional $2,000 in tools from local businesses and industry partners were awarded.
Four students received full tuition/internship/stipend at Connecticut State Community College Three Rivers through the Dominion Scholarships for Nuclear Engineering.
