On Wednesday, Jan. 29 the group will deliver the blankets to the Humane Society and take a tour of the facility. The group made the blankets for the cats with scraps that were leftover from blankets they made for the soup kitchen rather than throw out the material. TOP, a positive youth development program, helps teens with educational success, life and leadership skills, healthy behaviors and relationships. The students have to complete twenty hours of community service, which includes planning, action and reflection on what they learned as well as a complete a TOP curriculum. (Dana Jensen/The Day)
