Mystic - Stonington Police are investigating a report of a burglary in the Hewitt Road area Monday afternoon.

Police said a resident called them late Monday afternoon to say their home had been broken into. Officers and detectives are currently investigating.

Police cautioned residents in that area to take steps to make sure their valuables are secure while they work to solve the case. Police ask anyone who may have seen anything or anyone suspicious in the area to call them at (860) 599-4411.
