Man already in prison arrested in earlier thefts

Groton City - An inmate at the Corrigan-Radgowski Correctional Center was arrested Tuesday on a litany of larceny charges for what police said was a multi-town crime spree in February.

According to a press release issued by the Groton City Police Department, Timothy Kosloskey, 24, stole four vehicles and broke into as many as 40 vehicles throughout Groton City, Groton Town, East Lyme and Baltic during the overnight hours of Feb. 7 and 12.

One of the stolen vehicles and approximately 25 car breaks were reported in the Groton Bank area of the City of Groton, police said.

Kosloskey was already incarcerated at Corrigan on unrelated charges when he was served with Tuesday's arrest warrant. He is being held on a $100,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in New London Superior Court later this month.

Kosloskey was charged with third-degree criminal mischief, four counts of sixth-degree larceny, five counts of sixth-degree larceny, first-degree larceny, second-degree larceny and two counts of third-degree larceny.

Police said the arrest warrant was issued after a several month-long investigation by the City of Groton, Town of Groton, East Lyme police, and state police at Troop E in Montville.

Police stressed that citizen cooperation was key in helping police identify Kosloskey.
