Groton - Town Police are seeking the public's help as they investigate a diversionary burglary of a Mystic home on Friday afternoon by men posing as landscapers.

Such a burglary occurs when one suspect distracts the victim while accomplices enter through another door to steal valuables.

The suspects in this case are described as between 30 and 40 years old, wearing dark clothing and driving a cream colored full-sized van. The man who did the talking indicated his name was Eduardo and his family used to live in the area. They said they were working at a nearby residence.

Anyone who has seen the van or been approached in a similar manner is asked to call police at 441-6712.
