Norwich – Seven people in three families were displaced from their homes this morning after a fire broke out in the attic of a multi-family home at 7 Raymond Place.
Battalion Chief Tracy Montoya said this afternoon that the call came in around 9:11 this morning and that a majority of the damage from the fire occurred around the roof area. He said the fire may have been caused by lightning, but the city’s fire investigator still has yet to determine a cause.
Because of the damage to the power lines and utilities the family is staying at a local hotel with assistance from the Red Cross.
