    Police make arrests in heroin trafficking, metal thefts

    Norwich – Norwich police arrested two women today in connection with separate investigations into heroin trafficking and metal thefts from various locations in the city.

    Katrina Marcy-VanWaggner, 32, of 120 Geer Road, Jewett City, was charged with first-degree larceny and was held on a $50,000 bond.

    Kimberly A. Rapchak, 50, of 19 Trading Cove Dr., Norwich, was charged with selling heroin. Her bond was set at $75,000.

    Police said the investigation is continuing and Norwich Police are asking anyone with information regarding the illegal scrapping of metals and heroin distribution to call the Norwich Police Department at (860) 886-5561, or the Anonymous Tip Line at (860) 886-5561, ext. 500.
