Jewett City man held on $500,000 bond and faces 10 failure to appear charges

Griswold — A Jewett City man was held on a nearly $500,000 bond Saturday after he turned himself in to state police on 10 counts of failure to appear in court.

Jason J. Andrews, 29, of 18 David Ave. was charged with three counts of first-degree failure to appear and seven counts of second-degree failure to appear. The bond on the 10 counts totaled $499,500.

Andrews had failed to appear in court on previous criminal narcotics, domestic and motor vehicle charges, according to state police. He is scheduled to appear in the G.A. 21 court in Norwich Thursday.
