Norwich — An East Haddam man was arrested Tuesday when he attempted to escape from Norwich Superior Court during his arraignment on burglary charges.

Sean Anderson, 26, was charged with escape from custody and breach of peace.

Police said Anderson attempted to flee the courthouse as the court raised his bond on the burglary charge. He was apprehended by a judicial marshal.

Anderson was held in lieu of a total of $205,000 in bonds and will appear in Norwich Superior Court on April 10.
