    Police break up fight at Foxwoods

    Mashantucket — Several people were arrested early Saturday morning near Fuddruckers restaurant at Foxwoods Resort Casino after a fight broke out and some participants resisted police attempts to make arrests.

    Troopers from the State Police Casino Unit Troop E in Montville and officers from Ledyard police and the Mashantucket Tribal police were called at 2:01 a.m. Saturday for a report of a large disturbance in the area of the restaurant.

    Police found "numerous people in a physical altercation." When officers attempted to separate the parties, Michael Loya, 23, of Enfield allegedly resisted efforts by police to place handcuffs on him. Police used pepper spray to subdue Loya.

    Police said Christine Poskus, 51, of Granby allegedly attempted to interfere with troopers' attempts to arrest Loya and pushed a trooper.

    Loya was charged with breach of peace and interfering with an officer. Poskus was charged with interfering with an officer.

    Nathan Truncellito, 19, of Southwick, Mass., William Tyillan, 23, of Newington and Timothy Day, 29, of Stoneham, Mass., each was charged with breach of peace.
