East Lyme man arrested on drug charges
An East Lyme man was arrested Thursday after police searched his vehicle and seized more than a half-pound of marijuana, ecstasy and hallucinogenic mushrooms.
East Lyme police stopped the man’s car on Flanders Road in Niantic on Thursday for motor vehicle violations, including a cracked windshield. According to a press release, the officer could smell the odor of marijuana inside the vehicle. Police also seized more than $400.
Roderick Acton, 25, of 11 River Road was charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, possession of narcotics with intent to sell and possession with intent to sell within 1500 feet of a school.
