UPDATED: Barnes Road in Stonington reopens to traffic

Stonington — Barnes Road is reopen to traffic after work crews cleared a tree that was blocking the roadway.

The tree had pulled down some wires, leaving about a dozen customers in the dark. Police said the incident was reported at 4:56 a.m.

Connecticut Light & Power is reporting late this morning that only one customer remains in the dark.
