    Portion of Bank Street closed because of accident

    New London - Police have closed Bank Street at its intersection with Ocean Avenue because of damage to a utility pole caused during an accident involving a truck.

    Connecticut Light & Power was called in to repair the pole. An estimate on when the road would reopen was not immediately available.
