Groton Town Police seize 40 bags of heroin, arrest 3 men

Groton — Groton Town police seized 40 bags of heroin and arrested three men on drug charges after a traffic stop early Monday morning.

Justin Schwartz, 24, of 156 Kings Highway in Groton; Michael A. Braccioforte, 21, of 48 Yellow Hill Road in Middletown; and Joel Nann, 23, of 85 West Ridge Lane in Middletown were each charged with possession of narcotics and use of drug paraphernalia. Braccioforte and Nann were also charged with conspiracy to sell a controlled substance, according to a police news release.

Police arrested the three after a motor vehicle stop at 2:55 a.m.

All were released on bond and are scheduled to appear Nov. 15 in New London Superior Court.
