Crash into utility pole closes road in North Stonington

North Stonington – Clarks Falls Road (Route 216) remained closed in both directions Thursday evening after a truck crashed into a utility pole.
State police and North Stonington first responders were called out to the scene at about 7:45 p.m. following reports of a truck that had hit and snapped a utility pole. Further details of the crash were not immediately available.
The state Department of Transportation reported that the crash occurred on Route 216 between Pendleton Hill Road and Boom Bridge Road.
Motorists are advised to seek an alternate route.
