    Man charged with DUI after he drives car into utility pole in North Stonington

    North Stonington — A Voluntown man was arrested Thursday night after state police said he was driving under the influence when he struck and snapped an utility police on Clarks Falls Road.

    Christopher Colucci, 48, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs after he allegedly failed a field sobriety test.

    The road was closed for several hours as Connecticut Light & Power crews repaired the pole. The accident happened around 7:42 p.m.
