Colchester — An Uncasville man was taken by Life Star helicopter to St. Francis Hospital this morning after his car rolled over on Route 2 East in the area of Exit 17.

Stephen Price, 22, of 33 Blais Road was negotiating a curve as he was traveling in the left lane on Route 2 East. Police said he drove into the dirt median, then traveled back into the left lane and across the right lane into the shoulder of the roadway before the car rolled over.

The rollover was reported at 7:26 a.m.

Police said Price sustained head and arm injuries. His condition was not immediately available.

Route 2 in that area was closed in order to allow Life Star to land.
