Ledyard — A portion of Sandy Hollow Road remained closed early Saturday evening as crews work to replace a utility pole that snapped during a one-car crash earlier in the day.
The accident occurred about 12:30 p.m. Details of the crash were not immediately available from the fire or police department.
An Eversource spokeswoman said that Frontier Communication, which owns the utility pole, was at the scene at 5 p.m. working to replace it. Eversource will be able to replace power lines once that work is completed.
As of 5 p.m., the Eversource website did not show any power outages in Ledyard.
