Norwich man seriously injured in I-395 crash

Montville -- A Norwich man was seriously injured late Saturday night when his car crashed on Interstate 395.
State police said Justin M. Labriola, 28, of 16 Carpenter St. was driving his Volkswagen GTI south on the highway near Exit 9 when it left the right shoulder of the road, striking a pole and then a large blue sign before rolling over.
Labriola was ejected from his car and suffered life-threatening injuries. He was taken to The William W. Backus Hospital and then flown by Life Star helicopter to Hartford Hospital. Anyone who may have witnessed the crash is asked to call Trooper Tewel at (860) 848-6500.
