New London man arrested on firearm charges

New London ― After responding to a reported disturbance, city police on Friday arrested an 18-year-old man they say had a .40 caliber style “ghost gun,” meaning a privately made firearm lacking a serial number.

Police charged Kendall Fluker, of 157 Connecticut Ave., with carrying a pistol without a permit, possession of a dangerous weapon and disorderly conduct. He is being held on a $50,000 bond.

Officers responded to 66 Connecticut Ave. Apt. 2 around 9:31 p.m. Friday, according to a news release from the New London Police Department. They found two men actively fighting in the apartment and intervened. Police said officers recovered the ghost gun and took Fluker into custody without incident.

Police ask anyone with information on this incident to contact the detective division at (860) 447-1481 or anonymously through the New London Tips 411 system.
