NL police investigate shots fired off Colman Street

New London — Police are investigating the reports of shots fired early Sunday off Colman Street.

At 1:13 a.m., while police were conducting a check of businesses along Colman Street, police heard guns shots fired in the area of the No Where Cafe at 454 Colman St.

Police responded to the area and collected “evidence supporting gun shots had been fired,” police said in a statement. No injuries were reported and police said the incident does not appear to be a random act.
