Oakdale man dies in Lyme crash
Lyme ― A head-on crash last week claimed the life of a 45-year-old Oakdale man.
Randy A. Judd of 274 Oxoboxo Dam Road was pronounced dead at the scene of the Feb. 8 crash on Hamburg Road (Route 156) in Lyme, near the intersection of Elys Ferry Road, state police records show.
Judd was operating a Nissan Frontier north on Route 156 when state police said his vehicle crossed into the southbound lane and collided with a 2023 Freightliner M2 106 truck that was traveling south.
Judd’s vehicle rolled onto its side and came to a rest in the northbound shoulder. John Stephens Jr., 35, the driver of the Freightliner, and his passenger, 23-year-old Benjamin N. Leach, both of Plainfield, were not injured in the crash, police said.
State police at Troop F in Westbrook said the accident remains under investigation. Anyone with information about the crash is asked to contact Troop F at 960-399-2100.
