    Auto parts store robbed at knifepoint in Norwich

    Norwich ― Police are investigating the robbery Thursday of an auto parts store where the store clerk was threatened at knifepoint.

    The 3:30 p.m. robbery occurred at Advance Auto at 270 W. Main St. where police said a masked man entered the store, displayed a knife and demanded cash from the register. The suspect stole about $800, police said in a statement.

    The suspect in the robbery was wearing a black zip-up hooded sweatshirt, blue or black pants, a surgical type mask and black rimmed glasses. The Hispanic man fled the store on foot. The store clerk was not injured.
