Norwich ― A man suffered a gunshot wound to the leg late Thursday night.

Police said the shooting occurred at 9:58 p.m. in the area of Rockwell Street and Judd Road, where police found the victim and several shell casings.

The man was taken to Backus Hospital for treatment of the non-life threatening injury.

Police, who said the shooting is believed to be a targeted attack, are investigating but have not made an arrest.
