UPDATED: Man dies in New London motorcycle crash

New London ― A 33-year-old motorcyclist died late Wednesday in a crash that occurred in the area of Jefferson Avenue and Roosevelt Street.

Jared Barber, of Quaker Hill, was pronounced dead at Lawrence + Memorial Hospital soon after the 10:36 p.m. crash. The cause of the crash is under investigation.

A portion of Jefferson Avenue between Ashcraft Road and Colman Street was closed as police performed an accident reconstruction at the scene of the crash. Anyone who may have witnessed the crash or has information about the accident is asked to contact police at (860) 447-1481.
