Man shot in hand in New London

New London ― An 18-year-old man was treated for a gunshot wound to the hand stemming from a Saturday shooting that police say is under investigation.

Police said the victim showed up at the emergency room at Lawrence + Memorial Hospital at 9:01 p.m. on Saturday. Police described the man’s injury as non-life threatening.

Police said he reported the shooting had occurred in the area of Colman Street and Redden Avenue. A vehicle was seized as part of the investigation. Police released no further details.
